The biggest thing that I loved about this book was the character development the author showcases in her book. I would have given this book five stars easily if the book wasn't so quick and was had more content. Then again I did devour this book like a ravenous beast! (SPOILER) It seamed that Dominique and Wesley fell in love too fast, and I would have appreciated to have a more in depth change in attitude when Dominique realized she could live without Wes and all that she needed was her friends and family. I will be picking up the second book!

Although I am not a young adult anymore, this book intriged me. I was not disappointed! This is one of the best books I have read in a very long time! Anatomy of a Boyfriend will be one of those books that I find myself reading again and again. I am anticipaiting the release of Daria Snadowsky's follow-up book Anatomy of a Single Girl!
i went into this thinking that it would be an encouraging tale of love that really works. i probably should have chosen a different novel if i wanted that giddy school girl in love feeling to reflect from the characters of this book. i actually wanted to feel as if i could connect on a personal level of the main characters (im only 19 after all) but they didnt even have a relationship that wasnt sexual. which ironically was the most interesting parts of the book. it wasnt really that good, and the relationships between the characters could have been more in depth. good try, but not at all what i was expecting..
It's not that it wasn't a well written story. It was, and it was definitely different from many I have read, which was a plus as it made the book stand out, but it just didn't click with me.
I do not understand how some authors can write about the subjects that they put into their books. Some details were very explicit, should be considered an adult book and not a young adult book, because it does not seem at all appropriate for younger readers.
Now that I have finished reading this eye opening book, I plan to place it in my Grandson's guest room here, on his nightstand, between the Harry Potter series, and the Twilight series. I would love to have discovered this at MY Nana's house when I was 15----but she wasn't as cool as I am 😀
I didn't like this book. It was interesting at first, and many people compared it to Judy Blume, but I have never read her (I'm not American) so I read this without any prior expectations. What I really disliked was how the story progressed from being interesting to coming to an abrupt halt, and then basically succumbing to its death in like the last 30 pages or so. I wanted to read this because of its description, thinking it would be interesting enough right to the end, but I just wasn't satisfied with it. One star. Would not recommend.
The book is an easy quick read. There is a little too much graphic details in it for my tatste. Not sure I would classify it as YA. The story is pretty predictable as well.
