Enjoy if you like fast paced action funny scenes and good compassionate sex . Good history too and described scenes
This was a great mystery/love historical romance. I wish there was a sequel to this with one of vixens friends marrying another spy 😉
I have always enjoyed Enoch's books and this one was no exception! Vixen and Sin were actually a perfect couple. Both were pretending to be something they were not and both were actually bored with the lives they had been leading. Thrown together but not really against their will - they quickly found there was much to each others personalities than what others perceived. There is just enough intrigue in the plot to add to the romance. I really enjoyed this Enoch romance and would highly recommend it!!!
Midnight Madness
This is a very fun and entertaining book. I love that the characters are equally strong and have great personalities. There is a real love story but also a mystery that must be solved which holds you clear to the end. I have always been a mystery lover and was well before I became a romance reader, therefore I prefer the combination of the two as opposed to just romance. This one satisfies both very well. Good read, you will enjoy it.
This story quite surprised me. It was much better than I thought it might be. The characters were very well developed so that I became invested in their situations. The development of their story and their relationship was quite satisfying. Action was interspersed at a good flow. Overall, worth my time.
This book was fabulous. It is mildly steamy, but otherwise it could be classified as a traditional Regency Romance. There is a murder mystery plot, a compromised-into-marriage plot, and a host of very entertaining characters. The heroine grew on me. Not that I didn't like her initially, but I have very little tolerance for hoydens who refuse to acknowledge that their ridiculous behavior actually has legitimate consequences. Vixen seemed to believe that repeatedly kissing rakes and rogues was ok. That is so not ok. I understand that her parents were shown to have reacted in an extremely uncaring way, but a real regency family would have packed her off to the country an arranged a marriage with an elderly, very rich, peer who wouldn't care enough to ask questions. Vixen got off very very lucky, which is why this is fiction and not real life. But still, it sets my back up a little when the characters don't match the times. She improved though, which made the book a delight. Sin on the other hand was magnificent. Gorgeous, tortured, war-hero spy, rake-but-not-really. Delicious. I wish we had gotten more info on Sin' s cohorts, especially Crispin. And Marley. He needs a good woman. Sadly, the next book in the series has a completely unrelated hero, but the heroine is the headmistress from the girl's school whom I am very excited to read about. This was a fun, dramatic story. The characters and plot were very well-done. Highly recommended for all Regency Romance lovers.
This was just okay. The story wasn't developed as well as it could have been, there were too many different storylines going on. Spies, murder mystery, revenge, scandal, family drama, quirky characters it was like 5 separate storylines. The whodunnit murder mystery was the main storyline that could have filled a novel by itself, the rebellious debutante with a heart for stray animals, misunderstood by peers and her with neglectful parents, and the "spy for the war department" both belonged in another book where they could have been more fleshed out instead of awkwardly inserted occasionally here. A Matter of Scandal and the Rake were much better books in this series
